Paradip port becomes numero uno among major ports of India in Q1 of FY 2020-21

Paradip, July 3: Paradip Port Trust (PPT) has become the number one major port in India in handling cargo in the Q1 of the current financial year. The port has handled cargo of 25.73 million metric tonne during April-June, 2020 despite Covid-19 pandemic. “According to GoI released figures Paradip port stood first in the country with highest traffic between April-June 20. Congratulations to Port authorities and all the employees !! State govt has allowed PPT to implement the riverine port on Mahanadi with great potential” tweeted the official handle of Chief Secretary of Odisha. Rinkesh Roy, Chairman, PPT and A.K. Bose, Dy. Chairman, PPT have conveyed their gratitude to all employees, unions, state government, district administration, importers, exporters, stevedores, steamer agents, port users and other stakeholders.
