Odisha’s daily Covid count dips below 1700

Bhubaneswar, Oct 24: The Covid-19 positive cases continue to show a declining trend in Odisha as the state recorded 1695 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, informed the health department on Saturday. The total caseload of Odisha climbed to 2,79,582. Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 986 have been reported from different centres while the remaining 709 are local contact cases. The number of active cases in the state stood at 18,882 while 2,59,418 patients have recovered so far. As many as 15 more persons succumbed to Coronavirus in the state in the last 24 hours.
