Odisha youth returned from China referred to SCB for coronavirus test

Kandhamal, Jan 31: A youth in the district who returned from China on January 11 has been referred to SCB Medical College in Cuttack after he suspected himself of being infected with deadly coronavirus. The youth identified as Mrutyunjaya Muni is pursuing his bachelor degree in medical science in China, the epicenter of the outbreak. Muni has written a letter to the CDMO as he is suffering from cold and cough for past 10 days. According to the World Health Organisation, the signs of infection include fever, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty in breathing. The first positive case of coronavirus in India has been reported from Kerala on Thursday. Health officials of Kandhamal district have referred him to the SCB Medical College in Cuttack to undergo a test to confirm the virus attack.
