Odisha to write Centre for extension of lockdown till April 30

Bhubaneswar, April 9: Odisha government today decided to extend the lockdown for next 15 days till April 30. The state will write in this regard to Centre, it was decided by the state cabinet today. It also decided that all educational institutions in the state will remain closed till June 17. Similarly, the state will urge the Centre for suspension of all flight and train services till April 30. However, farming and agricultural activities will continue in the state. The state has appealed other states to make all necessary arrangements for Odia labourers stranded in their state and Odisha government is taking care of people of other states struck in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said. The state cabinet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik passed nine important proposals through video conferencing.
