Bhubaneswar: With an aim to simplify the admission process for students, the Higher Education Department has decided to conduct a common entrance test for admissions into Post Graduate (PG) courses offered by different colleges and universities in the State from next academic session.
This was informed by Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo on Tuesday following a meeting with Vice Chancellors’ here.
Sahoo said that from the 2020-21 academic session, PG admissions in the colleges and universities will be done through unified entrance exam. As a result, students won’t sit for entrance tests for different universities on different dates.
The Minister said a common test will help streamline the process and make admissions a lot more easier.
The Minister further informed that results of Plus-III exams will be published by universities before June 15 every year.
