Odisha govt relieves 9 IAS officers from Covid management

Bhubaneswar, June 5: Odisha government today rescinded the order entrusting additional responsibilities for Covid-19 management to as many as 9 IAS officers. The bureaucrats who have been relieved from Covid-19 management are Surendra Kumar, Vishal Kumar Dev, Krishan Kumar, Aravind Agarwal, Sachin Ramchandra Jadav, Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Rashmita Panda, Anu Garg, and Vineel Krishna. The concerned IAS officers will look after their original administrative responsibilities. Earlier on Friday, the state government has also removed senior IAS officer Hemant Sharma from the committee overseeing the purchase of Covid-19 kits. The move came after several media reports surfaced claiming corruption in purchase of Covid kits.
