Odisha govt issues fresh guidelines for govt depts/offices to contain spread of Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, June 9: All the government departments and offices of the State have been advised to meticulously enforce precautionary measures with prime importance to social distancing so as to restrain the spread of Covid-19. While emphasis has been given for maintaining social distance of 2 metres between 2 persons, prohibiting unnecessary crowding in common passages and corridors will also be strictly monitored. “Official meetings and gatherings will be restricted to minimum and organised preferably through video-conferencing. Proper sanitisation of the office buildings and common space will be conducted at regular intervals,” said an official. Spitting inside the office premises has also been strictly prohibited. Officials feeling physical discomfort and suffering have been advised to seek proper medical care. Older employees having underlying medical conditions and pregnant lady have also been asked not to get exposed to direct public contact,” added the official.
