Odisha govt fixes hospital charges for Covid patients

Bhubaneswar, Aug 14: Odisha government on Friday issued fixed uniform rates for reimbursement of different consumables cost in all COVID-19 facilities run by private hospitals in the state for treatment of coronavirus patients. These hospital rates are on per day basis, for the admission of coronavirus patients in Dedicated COVID Health Centre (DCHC), Dedicated COVID Hospital (DCH) and Covid Care Centre as stated below. {"id":62203,"sizeSlug":"large"} Accordingly, Municipal Commissioners of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur and Rourkela, all Directors of the department, all Collectors, all Dean & Principals & Superintendents of Medical College & Hospitals and all CDM and PHOs have been directed to reimburse the cost of consumables as per the approved rates. Besides, the Government has approved to develop supervising teams consisting of technical experts having no conflict of interest and willing to inspect and assess the quality of medical care and management of Covid-19 hospital by wearing appropriate PPEs.
