Odisha govt barricades more than 50 roads connecting Bengal for Covid-19

Balasore, April 22: Odisha government has barricaded more than 50 roads connecting Balasore, Mayurbhanj districts to West Bengal after several people returning from there were tested positive for Covid-19. As many as 11 people from Bhadrak so far have been tested positive for the deadly virus while 8 people in Balasore have been infected with Covid-19. Similarly the number of Covid-19 patients in Jajpur stands at 7. Odisha Police have also deployed 10 platoons of force in the bordering area to maintain vigil round the clock. Odisha Police DGP has also instructed officials to ensure that no one from West Bengal enters the state. Odisha shares 212-km porous Border with West Bengal.
