Bhubaneswar, Mar 24: Odisha government on Tuesday ordered statewide lockdown till March 29, in the backdrop of coronavirus pandemic.
The order will be implemented from midnight today and will remain effective till March 29 midnight.
However, all essential services and shops selling essential items such as foodstuff and medicines will remain open.
The state government had announced lockdown in five districts and eight towns from March 22.
Later, the lockdown was extended to nine more districts on Monday to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), following which a total of 14 districts were under lockdown.
