Odisha girl returned from China referred to SCB for coronavirus test

Cuttack, Feb 2: A girl has been admitted at the SCB Medical College and Hospital after she returned from China, the epicenter of the outbreak of deadly coronavirus. The girl, a student of Wuhan University recently returned from there and has been kept in the isolation ward of the SCB. According to the World Health Organisation, the signs of infection include fever, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty in breathing. The first positive case of coronavirus in India has been reported from Kerala on Thursday. Earlier a youth from Kandhamal district who returned from China on January 11 has been referred to SCB Medical College in Cuttack after he suspected himself of being infected with deadly coronavirus. So far five samples from Odisha have been sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune for coronavirus and four of the samples have been tested negative. The report of Kandhamal youth is likely to be received in a couple of days.
