Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said that the State Government has set a target of attracting investment of Rs 2.50 lakh crore and creation of 30 lakh job opportunities in six identified focus sectors by 2025.
“With a view to give further impetus to certain key manufacturing sectors, we have laid down the Odisha Industrial Development Plan: Vision 2025 with a target of attracting investment of Rs 2.50 lakh crore and creation of 30 lakh job opportunities in six identified focus sectors by 2025,” said Patnaik.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the second edition of the ‘Make in Odisha’ conclave here.
The Chief Minister said the first ‘Make in Odisha’ conclave held in 2016 attracted 124 investment intents with more than Rs 2 lakh crore and employment opportunities for above one lakh people.
Nearly 800 investors from India and abroad have attended the summit.
On Sunday Chief Minister Patnaik inaugurated the summit and welcomed the delegates to discover the enormous business and growth opportunities in Odisha and to join the transformation process for a ‘New Odisha’.
