Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: Odisha Energy Minister Capt. Dibya Shankar Mishra chaired a meeting today to review the progress of implementation of 5Ts Initiatives & ‘Mo Sarkar’ in the Energy Department through video conferencing.
Principal Secretary Energy, EIC (elect)-cum-PCEI Odisha, Director (F&CA) Gridco, CEO TPCODL. AOs NESCO/WESCO/SOUTHCO, Sr.GM IT OPTCL, and other senior Officers of the Energy Department were present in the meeting.
At the outset, Principal Secretary, Energy appraised that under 5Ts initiatives of Energy Dept, a common Web Portal, “Odisha Bijuli Sanjoga”, is ready for launching by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha for providing online Solution pertaining to:-
- New Service Connection within 48 Hrs
- Bill Payment and
- Grievance Redressal.
This will minimize physical interface with concerned electricity officials, paperwork, and offer services through a transparent & time-bound manner. It will be more helpful for the people of the State to avail electricity services in a more convenient and time-bound manner. It would help the People to get New Service Connection for Domestic, General Purpose, Specified Public Purpose, Irrigation, Pumping & Agriculture Purpose up to 5KW within 48 hrs, Electricity Consumers can pay their bill online with instant rebate facility and People can register their electricity-related grievances online and quick redressal of the grievances will be done. It was also discussed that a uniform remuneration to the WSHGs engaged in MBC activities is already implemented by DISCOMs.
It was decided that the services under E.I.C. (Electricity) such as services of Electrical licensing, services of Chartered Electrical Safety Engineer and standard testing Laboratory to be ready for online launching by 15th September, 2020. E.I.C. (Electricity) was advised to discuss the matter with National Informatics Centre (NIC) to engage more manpower to complete the job within the timeline.
All the Offices under EIC (Elect.), CEO TPCODL, AOs NESCO/ WESCO/ SOUTHCO Under “Mo Sarkar”, shall ensure that the visitors coming to the offices to be treated properly. Hon’ble Minister instructed that people are supreme and should be treated with dignity. Principal Secretary, Energy directed all concerned offices to ensure the successful implementation of ‘Mo Sarkar’.
