Odisha: Covid monitors appointed in all govt offices to ensure coronavirus norms

Bhubaneswar, July 19: Covid monitors have been appointed in all Government offices to ensure physical separation, sanitization and adherence to Covid norms. ADM is the nodal in-charge for the district while BDOs have been specifically tasked to ensure that frontline Covid warriors receive adequate safety equipment and follow Covid-19 protocol while discharging their duties.   The government has also released a special grant of Rs 10000 to all Gaon Kalyan Samiti (GKS) for use by the Covid Management Committees (CMC). The district and block level training of trainers is complete and the village level training of the CMC members is currently underway. A similar amount has been placed with the Ward Level Covid Management Committees constituted in NACs and Municipalities. “They will discharge the same function as CMCs in rural areas. The CMCs will take up intensive surveillance, ensuring adherence to home quarantine where necessary, awareness building on best practices and coordinating testing of all eligible cases as mandated by ICMR guidelines.
