Odisha CM inaugurates All India Forest Sports Meet in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, March 3: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated 25th edition of All India Forest Sports Meet in Bhubaneswar. Around 2600 employees of forest departments from 45 teams of different states and UTs are participating in 23 games and 230 events during the 5 days of this meet. This is the second time, Odisha is hosting the event. Earlier the State had hosted the event in 1994. The participants will try their luck in 23 different sports events like basketball, volleyball, squash, table tennis, hockey, cricket, badminton, lawn tennis, archery, powerlifting, golf, carom, chess, bridge, billiards, rifle shooting, athletics, tug of war, swimming, kabaddi, and other indoor games. In a bid to make the tournament successful the State government has constituted 16 high-level committees and made all preparations for conducting the event simultaneously at Kalinga Stadium and KIIT University.
