Odisha CM donates three months' salary to CMRF for Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, March 23: Chief minister Naveen patnaik today donated his 3 months’ salary to CMRF (Covid 19 fund).The chief minister has appealed to all to donate generously to Covid 19 fund to provide humanitarian help to the affected people. Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, Sanjay DasBurma hailed the CM for setting an example by donating his three months’ salary to the Odisha Chief Minister's Relief Fund today. “On behalf of the crores of people of Odisha, intellectuals, well wishers, leaders and workers of Biju Janata Dal, I express my thanks and gratitude to the Chief Minister. I request all the Biju Janata Dal's Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha MPs and MLAs to donate their three month's salary to the Odisha Chief Minister's Relief Fund by March 29 and set an example,” said Das Burma. Earlier in the day the Odisha government has extended lockdown for nine more districts to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As per the government notification, the lockdown will come to effect in Puri, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda districts from tomorrow morning.
