Odisha: 78-year-old deprived of old age pension for four months due to severed left index finger

Koraput, Feb 16: A 78-yera-old man has been deprived of getting old age pension after his left index finger was severed in a mishap. As per reports, the septuagenarian identified as Khudi Hantal lost his left index finger while cutting a piece of bamboo. Hantal said that he was unable to prepare his Aadhaar card after the incident. “I have not been getting the old age pension for last four months as I could not link my Aadhaar. I have been staying with my 70-year-old wife and we depend on the old age pension to sustain. I have been running from pillar to post apprising officials about my situation,” alleged Hantal.
