Odisha: 132 KV line gets snapped, falls on busy NH stretch in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda, Feb 15: Vehicular movement was disrupted after a 132 KV line was snapped and fell on the ground on National Highway-49 near BTM Chhak in the district today. As per reports, the incident took place in the busy hours when a number of vehicles were crossing on the stretch. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident. Locals alleged that the electric line remained on the ground for around one hour, though they immediately informed the authorities about the matter. Earlier on Sunday as many as 10 persons were electrocuted to death and around 30 injured when a bus came in contact with a live were in Ganjam district.The accident occurred at Tulu village under Rangeilunda tehsil.
