Dubai/ Bhubaneswar, Sep 21: South African cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Chris Morris today wore a jersey dedicating Odia youth Nilachala Parida.
“Nilachala Parida set up a vegetable shack during lockdown and offered free delivery to senior citizens. Saluting Nilachala’s spirit,I’ll be wearing a jersey dedicated to him and all such challengers,” said Morris on Twitter.
In order to honor all the COVID heroes, Morris wore the jersey during the match today.
Besides, Morris has also changed his Twitter profile name as Nilachala Parida.
Parida is a Bhubaneswar based Mountaineer. He stepped out to help the government in the fight against COVID-19. To ensure relief to local residents, Parida decided to sell and deliver vegetables to them.
Parida has got admission in the APG Shimla University after viewing his achievements in mountaineering and as a COVID Warrior.
