Bhubaneswar, April 8: The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has contributed Rs 1 crore to Chief Minister‘s Relief Fund to help the state government in fighting against Covid-19.
OCA secretary Sanjay Behera made the contribution to the district collector. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a support of Rs 51 Crores for the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM CARES) Fund to help government in the fight against the deadly virus.
Several Indian cricketers including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have also made donations. Among other Indian sportspersons, former captain Sourav Ganguly and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar have also donated Rs 50 lakh each.
