No more patient entry in VIMSAR’s Central ICU as PG doctor tests COVID-19 positive

Sambalpur, July 14: The Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) authority have decided to stop the Central ICU services after a PG doctor working in the Central Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was tested positive for COVID-19.

On the other hand, the medical authority has said that the contact tracing is on and 52 doctors, nurses and staff have been sent to quarantine.

Some symptoms were seen in a PG doctor on duty in the Central ICU on July 1 and immediately taken to isolation and swab samples were collected, which came out positive.

Medical Superintendent Prof. Jayashree Dora has directed to stop the admission of patients to the Central ICU until the next directive is issued.
