No more congregations allowed at any place for coronavirus

Bhubaneswar, Mar 20: In view of the fact that social distancing must be adhered in an effective way to minimize and contain the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the state government directed to close all stand-alone restaurants, bars, coffee shops, canteens, eateries of all kinds where large number of people dine and congregate immediately until further orders.

All hotels have been directed to maintain a social distance of two meters among guests in their in-house restaurants and all hotels and restaurants are advised to encourage the customers or guests to take takeaways, a letter of GA and PG Department reads.

All public transports including taxis and auto rickshaws on hire inside the city limits of all the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) will be regulated to allow them on alternate days.

Besides, all markets,shopping complexes, village haats etc have been directed to sell food items including groceries, vegetables, meat, chicken, fish, egg and other essential conveniences and daily need items.

No congregation of more than seven people is allowed at any place. The Municipal Commissioner/ Police Commissioner/Collectors/ concerned enforcement authorities have been asked to implement the above forthwith in their areas.
