No let up in jumbo menace in Patna range

Bhubaneswar: Villagers of Banamahuladiha under Patna forest range area in Keonjhar district in a state of fear as a herd of elephants continue wrecking havoc by eating up vegetable and crops on acres of land last night.

According to reports, a herd of wild elephants has been moving through villages and damaging crops in the area for a few weeks now. Last night, the herd entered Banamahuladiha village and damaged vegetables on acres of land. The pachyderms were moving in the nearby Atei jungle.

On being informed by villagers, forest officials have rushed to the spot and are trying to drive away the pachyderms into the deep jungle.
