No case of Covid-19 in 80% villages of Khordha district

Bhubaneswar, Aug 8: Not a single case of Covid-19 has been reported from 80 percent villages of Khordha district, informed Collector Sanat Kumar Mohanty. The Collector said that said that a total of 1,701 Covid patients have been identified in Khordha district excluding Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area. “Out of this, 901 patients are active while 784 patients are recovered and discharged. More Covid patients are identified in Tangi, Banpur, Bolagada and Begunia Blocks. Out of 17,405 returnees to the district, 470 have been identified Covid positive,” said Mohanty. He further said that as many as 2.71 lakh families have been covered in the survey in second phase while the third phase survey is going on. “ Covid Care Centres with adequate number of beds are operational in Jamujhari, Jatani and Prananath College to fight Covid-19. Bed capacity will increase in these facilities, if required. 250 ANMs with doctors along with 22 mobile teams are engaged in the district,” added the Collector.
