Nilagiri MLA Sukant Nayak resigns from BJD

Bhubaneswar: Nilagiri MLA Sukant Nayak resigned from the primary membership of BJD alleging conspiracy against him within the party.

The conspiracy hatched against him was exhibited during a recent ‘Mishran Parva’ where he was ignored, he alleged in his resignation letter which he sent to BJD president Naveen Patnaik.

Besides, he also accused BJD’s Balasore district president of torturing him mentally, which ‘becomes unbearable day by day’ for him.

“This hurts me a lot for which I am tendering resignation from the primary membership which may kindly be accepted”, he mentioned in his letter.

Recently, BJP Mahila Morcha vice president Sushma Biswal who was defeated in Nilagiri had recently joined the BJD. The MLA was ignored during the joining ceremony.

It is said that his decision comes amidst reports that he will be denied ticket for the upcoming Assembly poll this time.

Yesterday, Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi resigned from the regional party citing that his service was no longer required.
