The Shergarh tollgate had been collecting high fees in violation of an order of the National Highway Authority of India that asked to collect 75 per cent of fees during the ongoing NH renovation work. The NHAI had issued the order and May 7 this year. An outsider is engaged in collection of toll fees.
The whole irregularities came to the fore after premier news channel News7 reported the matter a week back. The name of the tollgate was also not mentioned in the money receipts.
