Naveen urges people to abide by Covid norms as Odisha likely to witness second wave in December

Bhubaneswar, Nov 4: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged the people of the state to abide by the Covid norms as the second wave of the infection is likely to hit the state after mid-December. Patnaik while reviewing the Covid-19 situation also urged people to restrict the celebration of Diwali for the pandemic. The CM thanked the people for low key celebration of Durga Puja. The CM further directed the district collectors and SPs to ensure strict enforcement of Covid norms. As many as 1,474 persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 295889. Similarly Odisha on Monday reported 12 Covid-19 deaths taking the total number of death due to the deadly virus in the state to 1,364.
