Naveen reiterates Rs 10,000 KALIA fund promise

Nabarangpur: BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday reiterated that 25lakh farmers left out from KALIA assistance will get two instalments (Rs 10000) at one go on the day-one of Government formation.

Addressing an election rally at Raigarh in Nabarangpur, Patnaik said the Central leaders never come during calamities, they come only during elections.

“They haven’t kept their promises. Unemployment is high. They granted Rs 250 crore when they had assured Rs 20,000 crore for Odisha,” alleged Patnaik.

On Friday, while addressing an election rally in Jeypore, Patnaik announced the first point of the BJD manifesto by announcing that give two installments (Rs 10,000) of KALIA assistance will be given to 25 lakh famers at one go on day Chief Minister takes oath.

Notably, though the State Government had fixed April 1 as the date of disbursement of money in the second phase, but it has been stopped by the CEO.
