Rayagada/Gajapati: BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today conducted road shows in Gunupur and Bissam in Rayagada district and Mohana in Gajapati where he launched a scathing attack at the Centre over negligence towards Odisha.
“The State witnessed massive destruction during cyclone Titli but the Centre gave assistance to Andhra Pradesh. The Centre refused to give rice to 30 lakh people. But, we are giving. The Centre has refused to fund our Aahar scheme. However, we have been funding the programme entirely and we also have the Re 1 per kg rice scheme,” said Patnaik.
“This shows how they are concerned about Odisha. They all are Biradi Baishnabs,” charged Patnaik.
Reiterating that 4.5 crore Odia people are his family, Patnaik urged the people to cast votes in favour of BJD candidates during the ensuing elections by casting votes on the conch symbol.
He said that he will work for the people of Odisha till his last breath.
