Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik today interacted with party workers coming from different areas directly and discussed with them about the selection of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Sources said Patnaik directly talked to party workers of different areas separately and wanted to know their views on selection of candidates.
Earlier in the day, Patnaik said that the party’s candidates’ list for first phase Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be announced by this evening.
Elections will be held in four Lok Sabha and 28 Assembly seats on April 11.
The first phase polls to four Lok Sabha seats in Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Berhampur and Koraput will be held on April 11 along with 28 Assembly constituencies – Nuapada, Khariar, Unerkote, Jharigaon, Nabarangpur, Dabugam, Lanjigarh, Junagarh, Dharmagarh, Bhawanipatna, Narlam, Chhatrapur, Gopalpur, Berhampur, Digapandhi, Chikiti, Mohana, Paralakhemundi, Bissam Cuttack, Rayagada, Laxmipur, Kotpada, Jeypore, Koraput, Pottangi, Malkangiri and Chitrakonda.
