Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today hit the campaign trails in Kandhamal, Ganjam and Nayagarh districts and reiterated his commitment of empowerment of farmers and women.
Patnaik held rallies in Tumudibandha under Baliguda Assembly seat under Kandhamal Lok Sabha constituency, Dharakote under Sanakhemundi Assembly constituency under Aska Lok Sabha seat and also in Sorada in Ganjam district.
At Tumudibandha, Patnaik raised the KALIA issue and accused the BJP of conspiring to stop the schemes meant for farmers.
He reiterated that, “Till I am here, nobody can stop KALIA Yojana. On the very first day of the BJD Government is formed in the State, the farmers will get the pending two installments of Rs 10,000 assistance under the KALIA Yojana.”
Later addressing public meeting at Dharakote in Ganjam district, Patnaik said the people Ganjam are peace-loving but both BJP and congress have conspired to break the peace.
The BJD supremo also held road show in Asks parliamentary constituency covering Block Chhak, Sorada, Kshetriya Berhampur High School ground, Gani Chhak, Badadanda, Gopalpur Sasan and Alakata gram panchayats.
