Naveen appeals Nizamuddin returnees to come forward for COVID-19 test

Bhubaneswar, April 4: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday appealed all who had attended the Nizamuddin congregation to call toll-free No 104 immediately. He urged Nizamuddin returnees to consult doctor and come forward for COVID-19 test within 24 hours. "Come forward and cooperate the government in the battle against COVID-19 for safety of your family and children," the Chief Minister appealed. Your cooperation will help the human race in fighting the coronavirus. Only awareness can contain the spread of coronavirus. There is nothing to fear COVID-19, but we have to be careful , he said. So far 28 persons have been identified having linkage to Nizamuddin incident and all tested. While 25 reports came negative, three persons tested positive for COVID-19 – one each in Cuttack, Puri and Jajpur. Similarly, a total of 1395 persons have been tested for coronavirus in the state till Friday, out of which 20 persons were tested positive. Reports of 15 suspects tested positive in a single day on Friday that has raised concern.
