Naveen again targets BJP at Malkangiri election rally

Bhubaneswar: BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today again asked where were the big BJP leaders, when natural disasters struck the State.

“Where were the big BJP leaders, who are now visiting Odisha during election time, when natural disasters struck the State,” said Patnaik while addressing an election rally in Maoist-hit Kalimela in Malkangiri district.

Patnaik campaigned for party candidate for Nabarangpur lok Sabha constituency Ramesh Majhi and Malkangiri Assembly contestant Mukund Sodhi, BJD leaders Arabinda Dhali and Manas Madkami were also present.

He also raised Polavaram dam issue and stoppage of schemes for KBK region.

“The Centre has stopped funding under Koraput-Balangir-Kalahandi (KBK) programme and also discontinued the ST/SC scholarship,” said Patnaik.

Maintaining that he has been and will always remain to work for the development of the 4.5 crore people in the State, Patnaik urged people to vote in favour of BJD during the upcoming elections.
