Bhubaneswar: The prestigious National Children’s Science Congress, which was being held in the SOA University campus since December 27, concluded today.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal gracing the occasion as chief guest stared at the innovative science projects displayed by about 800 child scientists from across the country and 15 other countries (five Gulf and 10 ASEAN countries) in the 26th edition of the NCSC.
Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had inaugurated the prestigious programme on December 27.
The children, in the age group of 10 to 17 years, drawn both from the formal school system as well as from those who are out of school or differently able, attended the event catalysed and supported by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC).
Besides children, around 400 teachers, guides, facilitators and parents attend the event along with scores of scientists, evaluators and researchers. The children presented their research findings, carried out relating to the focal theme and identified sub-themes, during the technical sessions. The event also featured colourful cultural programmes.
