Bhubaneswar: Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi, who resigned from the BJD on Thursday, joined BJP today in New Delhi.
Majhi joined the saffron party in the presence of Union Ministers Jual Oram, Dharmendra Pradhan, party national vice president Baijayant Panda and party Odisha in-charge Arun Singh at the party headquarters.
Majhi said that he was ignored by the party leadership in every respect and revealed that he was not even consulted regarding disbursement of party tickets for the upcoming elections.
Recently, former BJD veterans Damodar Rout and Baijayant Panda joined the saffron party in New Delhi.
Welcoming Majhi to the party fold, Union Minister Pradhan said the veteran leader’s joining in the party will certainly strengthen the party organisation.
