Bhawanipatna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today targeted the State Government over chit fund and mining scam and non-cooperation in implementation of PM Kisan Yojana.

Addressing an election rally in Bhawanipatna, Modi said that in two decades of rule, BJD Government is neck deep into corruption.

“Do you want mining mafia and chit fund looters or a chowkidar to serve you. In two decades of rule, BJD Government is neck deep into corruption. It has also been an obstruction between Centre’s PM-KISAN scheme and farmers in Odisha,” said Modi.

He said that 8 lakh poor people have got pucca houses, 3000 villages got electricity in Odisha for the first time after Independence after BJP came to power at the Centre. He further stated that 40 lakh women have got Ujwala LPG connections.

“This is not done by Modi. This is happening because of your votes,” said Modi.

Coming down heavily on the Congress, Modi said the Congress had looted Kalahandi and the country.

“Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had accepted his Government failure that entire central fund is not reaching at the grassroots level. But he did nothing to check the misappropriation. For 70 years the Congress looted Kalahandi and the country. In the name of poverty, Congress kept eating away a large amount of money meant for poor,” said Modi.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, party national vice president Baijyanta Panda, party State unit president Basanta Panda  was present.
