Bhubaneswar: A frightening incident has come to the fore where a worker reportedly died after being severely injured in a mobile phone explosion at Atharbanki near Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district late on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Kuna Pradhan. Kuna was reportedly engaged in a temple construction work by the Jagannath Truck Owners’ Association, Paradip. He was staying temporarily in a camp at the temple construction site.
According to reports, Kuna was watching mobile by keeping the device on his chest when the phone exploded due to some reason. He received serious burn injuries. Though other workers rushed him to a hospital, doctors declared him dead there.
On being informed, the Paradip Model police have reached the spot and started investigation.
