MLA quarters demolished to pave way for construction of multi-storied apartments

{"id":21800,"sizeSlug":"large"} Bhubaneswar, 11/12: Demolition of government quarters meant for the members of Odisha legislative assembly (MLA) began today to pave way for the construction of multi-storied apartment with modern facilities for them. The proposed high-rise apartment will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 400 crore. The flats will be constructed in the pattern of a type-VIII quarter, where usually ministers and senior IAS officers stay. They will be furnished with modern facilities.Discussions in this regard have been held with officials of various related departments. {"id":21801,"sizeSlug":"large"} Meanwhile, 24 MLAs have vacated their quarter. Directions have been issued to other legislators to vacate their quarters soon, said Speaker of Odisha assembly Dr Surjya Narayan Patro.
