Miscreants loot Rs 4.5 lakh at gunpoint in Cuttack

Cuttack, Sep 29: Two miscreants allegedly looted cash worth Rs 4.5 lakh at gun point in Tangi area of Cuttack district on Tuesday. As per reports, four employees of a filling station were transporting the cash in two motorcycles to the nearest bank branch. As soon as the employees reached the bank, the miscreants threatened them at gunpoint and decamped with the cash. Police have started an investigation after getting a formal complaint in this connection. Police said that they did not find any CCTV in front of the bank making it difficult for them to identify the miscreants. Police said that they are also trying to ascertain the possible involvement of veteran criminals in the crime.
