Opposition parties have cornered the Biramaharajpur MLA after Orissa High Court directed the Inspector-in-Charge of Biramaharajpur police station to act upon a written report against the BJD leader alleging filing of false affidavit.
The court issued the direction while disposing of a petition filed by Bhagaban Bagha of Biramaharajpur on January 9, who had sought intervention of the court against inaction on the complaint lodged at the local police station.
Congress leader Santosh Singh Saluja has demanded minister’s resignation on moral grounds while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sought intervention of Election Commission.
