Bhubaneswar, June 11: The regional meteorological office has issued thunderstorm and lightning warning for nine districts till 2 pm today.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph and moderate to intense rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Angul, Balangir, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal and Bargarh between 10 am and 2 pm.

People in districts have been advised to stay indoors during this period.
