Bhubaneswar: Question papers for the annual High School Certificate (HSC) or Matriculation examination will reach at the examination centres between 6 am and 8.30 am.
Question papers are now stored at the nodal centres and will reach the exam centres by 8.30 am tomorrow, said School and Mass Education Secretary Pradipta Mohapatra today.
He said that Odisha Bandh call by farmers did not have any impact on the dispatch of matriculation question papers.
“District Collectors and SPs have been directed to take necessary steps for transportation of question papers,” said Mohapatra.
The Naba Niram Krushak Sangathan (NNKS), a farmers’ organisation, is observing a 12-hour bandh today despite the request of the State Government to desist from the same in view of the Matric exam beginning Friday.
Around 5,73,000 students will appear the examination at 2,830 examination centres across the State this year. The examination will continue March 8.
At least 304 Nodal centres have been opened to keep the question papers while at least 693 dispatch teams have been formed to take the question papers to the centres.
Every examination will be conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The students will be allotted extra 15 minutes for Mathematics and hence it will end at 12.45 pm.
