Maternal uncle attempts to rape his minor niece; stabs her threatening not to disclose

Rourkela, 4/12: A minor girl accused her mausa (maternal uncle) of attempting to rape her. Moreover, she was allegedly stabbed by the accused who threatened her not to disclose the incident. The victim was allegedly being subjected to physical and mental torture for last several days. According to the complaint lodged in the Plantsite police station, a man, who was a relative, had attempted to rape his niece. When the minor girl resisted and tried to run away, her uncle and aunt attacked her with a knife. The victim sustained deep injury near her eye. Even, the accused had taken a few nude shots of his niece in his mobile phone. The victim has lodged a complaint in the police station against her uncle. When she was going to police station with the help of a woman social activist of her slum, she was obstructed by her aunt herself. Even their family members attacked the media people, who had come to report about the alleged incident. {"id":21481,"sizeSlug":"large"} According to the complainant, her uncle used to make attempts to rape her earlier and was perpetrating physical and mental torture on her. He had threatened her to kill her younger brother if she disclosed the matter. The minor girl had kept quiet out of fear. Police registered a case basing on the complaint and has started investigation.
