Bhubaneswar: After a few days’ lull, Maoists have once again committed violence in Kandhamal district, according to reports.
A group of Maoists came and burnt as many as five JCB machine and tractors in a contractor’s camp at Jhiripani under Belaghar police limits late on Monday morning. As many as 10 Red rebels had come and set ablaze the camp and fled from the spot.
Reports said the JCB and the tractors were engaged in the construction of a bridge in the locality. While workers, who were staying in the camp, have gone away from the camp, locals are in a state of fear now.
