Kendrapara, Mar 2: Proving police investigations wrong, a woman who was reported to be murdered by her husband seven years ago, was found living with her paramour in Odisha’s Kendrapara district. And the shocking part is that her poor husband, who was accused of killing her, is still serving his sentence in the prison. The woman, Mili, married Abhay Sutar of Bamara village under Patkura police limits on February 7, 2013. After 15 days of the marriage, Mili went missing. Following this, Mili’s parents filed a complaint of dowry harassment and accused Mili’s husband and in-laws of killing their daughter. Later, Patkura police came to know that MIli was living in Pipili area of Puri district with her paramour and two children. The Patkura police informed the matter to district Superintendent of Police (SP). On direction of Kendrapara SP Niti Shekhar, a team led by Patkura IIC Sujit Pradhan with help of Pipili police raided the house of Mili on February 28. Police took Mili and her paramour into custody. Later she was produced before the Kendrapara SDJM court and her statement was recorded under section 164. According to police, Mili was in love with a man named Rajiv Lochan alias Papu of Badapada village in Choudwar police limits in Cuttack district but had been married off to Abhay without her consent. She eloped with Papu to Gujarat and returned to Pipili after one year and both were living in a rented house.
