Malkangiri bandh demanding collector’s arrest, normal life hit

Malkangiri, Jan 10: Normal life in Malkangiri district has been hit from early morning today following a bandh observation by the district Congress, a day after Bharat bandh. The party has called the bandh demanding arrest of district collector Manish Agarwal blaming him for the death of his personal assistant Deba Narayana Panda. {"id":23619,"sizeSlug":"large"} Zilla Adivasi Mahasangha (ZASM) has extended its support to the protest. The protesters have staged road blockade at several places in and around the town immensely disturbing vehicular movements. Business establishments, educational institutions and government offices have remained closed due to picketing by the Congress workers. {"id":23620,"sizeSlug":"large"} Notably, the collector's personal assistant’s body was fished out of Satiguda dam a day after he went missing on December 27.
