Bhubaneswar, 4/11: The low pressure area over north Andaman Sea may trigger rain and cyclonic storm in coastal Odisha, predicted the Indian meteorology department (IMD). However, state's disaster management minister Sudam Marandi asked the people not to panic. The specail weather bulletin of the IMD issued today afternoon said that a low pressure area has formed over north Andaman Sea. It is very likey to intensify further to develop into a well marked low pressure area during next 12 hours and move west-northwestwards. It may concentrate into a deep depression over East Central Bay of Bengal during subsequent 48 hours and intensify further with northwestwards movements. Due to low pressure area over north Andaman Sea and its possible further intensification, squally weather with gusty surface wind with speed up to 40 to 50 km per hour is likely to prevail over East Central Bay of Bengal from November 5 and over West Central Bay of Bengal from November 7, the weather forecast said adding that the sea condition is likely to be rough to very rough. Fisherman have been, therefore, advised not to venture into deep sea areas of East Central Bay of Bengal from November 5 and over West Central Bay of Bengal from November 7. "The system is under close watch and the next updated bulletin will be issued tomorrow at 2 pm", said the special bulletin.
