Berhampur: Police have arrested a doctor from Bhubaneswar on Sunday night for allegedly killing a bank agent and burying the body at a dumpyard over a suspected love triangle.
A special team of police personnel arrested Hrushikesh Tripathy, a doctor by profession for allegedly murdering Bishnuprasad Gouda, who was a private bank employee and a resident of Bania village in Ganjam district.
Gouda had gone missing since August 18. The decomposed body was exhumed 25 days after it was buried in the backyard of the accused doctor’s house in Badagumula near Berhampur on Wednesday.
The accused doctor killed the bank agent as both of whom were having an affair with a lady doctor working at Hrushikesh’s clinic.
According to sources, the doctor called Gouda to his clinic on some pretext where he allegedly killed him. Later, he called his helper to the clinic. Then the duo took the body in a car and buried it at the backyard of Dr Tripathy’s house.
