Lockdown brings privacy for two giant pandas to mate after 10 years

Hong Kong, April 7: When the world is going through an unprecedented crisis with a lot of countries put under lockdown trying to stop community spread of coronavirus, two giant pandas at a Hong Kong zoo have got privacy to fulfill their long desire to mate. According to the zoo administration, they had been trying to mate unsuccessfully for the last ten years, and finally mated this week. The zoo has been trying to get the two pandas to mate for last ten years but in vain. When coronavirus shut the zoo down, they finally got privacy to mate. A press release from the zoo, Ocean Park, informed that two giant pandas - Ying Ying and Le Le, who are long time residents of the zoo, succeeded after 10 years of attempts at natural mating , and through trial and learning. The park has been closed to visitors since late January owing to the coronavirus outbreak in China.
