Locals get angry as ambulance got stuck on the road for an hour due to technical snag

Chandbali, 7/12: Locals got agitated over the delay in shifting a critical patent to hospital. While the 108 ambulance did not come in time, a private ambulance hired by the patient’s family members got stuck on the way due to technical snag. As a result, the patient had to struggle with death on the way for about an hour. According to reports, Binod Sahu of Mahulai gram panchayat under Chandbali block had consumer poison following domestic feud. He was rushed to Chandbali Community Health Centre for treatment. However, he was shifted to Bhadrak district headquarter hospital as his condition deteriorated. {"id":21631,"sizeSlug":"large"} However, there was delay in shifting him as the 108 ambulance did not come in time. So the patient’s family members hired a private ambulance to shift him. However, the private ambulance got stuck in the midway as it developed technical snag in Chandbali bazaar, leaving the critical patient struggling with death for an hour. The locals tried to give a push to the private ambulance, which went out of order. But it did not start. This led to resentment among the locals. Later, the 108 ambulance arrived at the spot following which the patient was shifted to Bhadrak one hour late. Locals demanded regular repair and check up of the ambulances, be it government or private, so that there would no delay in shifting of patients.
